What is a rain showerhead?

Rain showerheads are typically larger and wider than standard showerheads, often ranging from 200 mm to 400 mm in diameter. They are usually round or square in shape and feature numerous small nozzles that distribute water evenly across a broad area. The design is sleek and modern, often made from stainless steel, chrome, or brushed nickel.

Rain showerheads are typically installed in one of two ways:

  • Ceiling Mounted: The showerhead is installed directly into the ceiling, allowing water to fall straight down. This installation provides the most authentic rain shower experience.
  • Wall Mounted with an Arm: The showerhead is attached to a long shower arm that extends from the wall and angles downward, simulating rainfall. This type is easier to retrofit into existing bathrooms without extensive remodeling.
