What's the best tap for your kitchen?

What's the best tap for your kitchen?

, by Zure Australia, 2 min reading time

There are many different styles of kitchen mixer taps in the market and it can be difficult to decide which one will suit your needs the best. Depending on the price, the materials and functions may vary so it is important to consider these factors.

Different Tap Styles

Dual Handle

The classic dual handle tapware requires 3 tap holes and is available with a variety of different handle shapes.

Single Lever

The single lever mixer tap is controlled by rotating and lifting the lever. By doing so, you are able to control the temperature and flow simultaneously with the single lever. This particular model is also a water filter tap!

Monobloc

Monobloc kitchen mixer tap also control their temperature and flow similarly to single lever taps but have their lever located on the side. In combination with the classic goose neck like design, these mixers are easy to clean and allow for ease of use.

Wall Mounted

Wall mounted mixers are useful for applications where space is tight. It also reduces the clutter on your kitchen bench to crate a cleaner look.

Bridge Mixers

More stylish than your typical dual handle mixers, bridge mixers also require 2 tap holes which rise up and form a bridge to give a more classical aesthetic to your bathroom.

Pull-Out

From afar, the pull-out kitchen mixer tap may seem like a regular monobloc kitchen mixer, but what differs is that these taps can be extended from the main body for an even greater range of movement. Typically these taps come with multiple modes which allows you to change the output pattern.

Flexi-Hose

The flexi-hose kitchen mixer tap is a non-retractable tap that can be detached to cover a larger area when required. The convenience of the flexi-hose allows you to maneuver around the dirty dishes and is useful for rinsing off you kitchen sink as you can aim it around the bowl.

Water Pressure

It is important to check your water pressure as it does vary with every location which means that not all taps may be compatible with your home. Buying an expensive multi-function tap isn't going to do you any good if it can't perform to it's maximum potential.
