Before starting, you should take the time to research into both product and service costs. Don’t be afraid to shop around and obtain a few quotes from different people, to understand what prices are comparable and reasonable.

From LED bathroom mirrors to bidet sprays, there are numerous trends which can inspire your home renovation, so that you can create a space that is both practical and modern.

Bidet sprays

Doubtful? Many people are when they are presented with the idea of bidet sprays. While this feature is common in Asian countries, its only slowly making its way into the Western market. It can be hard to get used to the idea of using bidet sprays in your daily life, but there are benefits that make it worth it.

Bidet sprays are great for the environment. Rather than using toilet paper, which is disposable and ends up as wastage, bidet sprays offer a thorough clean without adding to your household waste. They’re hygienic and actually allow for a better clean than purely using toilet paper.

Wall Mounted Bidet

LED bathroom mirrors

This fixture is becoming more common, as people enjoy the lighting of LED bathroom mirrors over the lighting of overhead lights. This is because the light is spread evenly across to you, meaning that you can view yourself in an even light, with no shadows.

Because of this, LED bathroom mirrors are great for applying makeup, styling your hair, or shaving as it is easier to see yourself in the reflective surface. If you are constantly doing these actions in your bathroom, investing in LED bathroom mirrors is a good idea.

Not only is it practical, it’s aesthetic. Seeing the bright glow around your LED bathroom mirrors definitely adds an element of style to your space. They also have a low running cost due to running on 12 or 24 volt power.

By installing LED bathroom mirrors, you can add a luxurious feel to your space at a reasonable price – it’s not costly at all but it will elevate the look of your home. Furthermore, it’ll add value to your home if you decide to sell in the future.

LED Mirror

Above counter basins

To pair with your LED bathroom mirrors, above counter basins are another trend which is becoming increasingly popular. This fixture adds a statement to your vanity, and you can choose from multiple materials in order to match the rest of your space.

From stainless steel and ceramic, you can choose whether you want a metallic or matte finish. If you’re gearing for a more industrial look, colours such as copper or gunmetal might suit your space better. If you want a clean, minimalistic look, a round white ceramic above counter basin might be your best choice.

From circular, oval, rectangular, and square, different shapes are available to suit your home. You might choose to match the shape of your above counter basin to your LED bathroom mirrors, or change it up a bit by choosing a different shape. Either way, above counter basins are a great statement piece.

Freestanding baths

Moving away from the traditional drop-in bathtubs, freestanding baths are becoming a more popular option for homeowners. Allowing for a more minimalistic feel, freestanding baths add statement and simplicity to your space.

You can choose from numerous styles. Whether you want a claw foot bath or one with a plinth, or without either of these features. You can also choose colours aside from the traditional white, such as black or a freestanding bath with a stainless steel exterior.

Freestanding baths definitely elevate the look of your space and add an element of luxury. However, they are also typically more expensive than drop-in or alcove bathtubs, so it just depends on how much you are willing to spend.

Having a minimalistic bathroom is on trend. Not only is it a style that will easily age well, it’s relatively easy to style. When implementing a minimalist design, you should ordinarily stick to a select few colours for your fixtures and fittings.

You might choose a grayscale scheme, in which case you would keep all your faucets and shower black, with other fixtures and fittings white. The grayscale colour scheme is very on-trend and guarantees that your bathroom will look polished and stylish. When choosing tiles, choosing a muted or pale grey will match the grayscale theme perfectly.

Opting for floor to ceiling glass shower screens, and a freestanding bath as mentioned above, will also help you to achieve a minimalistic look. You might also choose to recess cabinets and choose simple light fittings to attain a ‘cleaner’ aesthetic.
